KIKU CAP is a Chrome browser extension that detects, downloads, and records audio from web pages. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data KIKU CAP does and does not collect.

Data We Do Not Collect

KIKU CAP does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address)
• Browsing history or web activity
• Audio content you download or record
• Website content or URLs you visit
• Analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking data
• Cookies or tracking identifiers

Data Stored Locally

KIKU CAP stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your browser:

• Your theme preference (dark or light mode)
• Recording format and quality settings
• Auto-detect toggle state
• Pro upgrade status (synced via ExtensionPay)

Payments

Pro upgrades are processed through ExtensionPay and Stripe. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and is never accessible to KIKU CAP. Please refer to Stripe's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.

Permissions

KIKU CAP requests browser permissions solely to provide its core functionality: detecting media on web pages, capturing tab audio for recording, and downloading files. No data from these permissions is collected or transmitted externally.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service KIKU CAP communicates with is ExtensionPay (via Stripe) for processing Pro upgrade payments. No other external services are contacted.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
